All About Auditions for

The Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe

When is the next audition?

Auditions for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe will take place on December 7th, beginning at 10 a.m. at First Lutheran Church.
526 S. Olive Ave.
Sandpoint, ID 83864

How does it work?

Create a free Cast 98 account and sign up for a time slot. Parents can manage actor profiles for all their children, as well as their own, using a single account. All Honey Pearl Productions shows will use this platform, so once you've set up your profile, you'll be able to use it for future productions as well.

Please prepare a monologue of your choosing no longer than five minutes but at least one minute in length. Poems, scripture and real world speeches are acceptable. Tons of free monologues are available on the internet. A child’s ability to memorize and perform lines will be critical in casting the parts of the Pevensie children.

Who can audition?

Anyone who is at least 8 years old. There are a variety of roles both large and small for men and women, boys and girls. The majority of the characters will be played by adults. Please reach out if you have specific questions about specific roles.

How late can I sign up?

You can sign up the night before or even on the day of the audition, but keep in mind that the later you wait, the more limited the available time slots will be.

Do I need experience to audition?

Nope! This is community theater. Whether a seasoned pro or newbie you are welcome.

What if I want a specific role?

You will be given the opportunity to denote on your audition form what roles you want or do not want. No role is promised but we do our best to place people where they will be happiest!

Will everyone who auditions get a role?

This depends on how many audition. We cannot promise everyone will be cast but we will try to include as many as possible.

What is the time commitment?

Check out the full rehearsal calendar here. Rehearsals begin December 10th though not everyone is called to every rehearsal. Rehearsals are three nights a week at 6 p.m. and are typically Wed/Thurs/Fri. They will be at the EnVision Center in Sandpoint and New Song Bible Church in Sagle (just across the bridge). Show dates are April 18 - 20 and April 25 - 26. There will be a charity show at 10 a.m. in between weekends on Wednesday, April 23rd. Friday performances will be at 7 p.m., Saturday performances at 1 p.m. and Sunday performances at 3 p.m.

Is it a musical?

Nope!

Are there other ways to get involved?

Yes! We are always in need of more volunteers to do a variety of tasks from stage crew to set building to helping take tickets at the door! Please inquire if you are interested in getting involved.
